Aralia

IN GENERAL:

Aralia is also known as Fatsia Japonica, and comes from the Aralia family. He is originally from Japan. It can reach a height of up to 1.5 m. It belongs to fast-growing plants, so they often become unsuitable as indoor plants over time.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE:

- It does not tolerate direct sunlight, so it thrives best in fresh and shady rooms. Indoor Aralia does not tolerate warm rooms with dry air, and because of this, its leaves may start to turn yellow and fall off. During the winter, she likes a temperature of 8-14 degrees. In summer, it can be taken outside, on the terrace or balcony, but in partial shade. In winter and summer, it is important to wash the leaves once a week with a wet sponge or dust cloth. Indoor Aralia is too sensitive to too much moisture, but also to dry air. It is watered twice a week in summer and once a week in winter. In summer and spring, it likes to be sprayed twice a week. As for feeding, it is best to do it during the growing season once a month during the spring, in the summer it can be more often. If it is not fed, the leaves start to fade.

PROPAGATION:

-In early spring, it is propagated by top cuttings under glass at a temperature of 18-21 degrees. Then they take root, and the young plants are placed in pots.

TRANSPLANTING:

-Regarding transplanting, young Aralia are transplanted every year, and older ones every 2-3 years, which depends on the speed of development.
