IN GENERAL:
-Agloanema is a simple plant to grow at home, and in translation it means luminous thread. With a little care, it becomes an interesting detail for the interior of the house. It's Agloanema indoor plantand large green/silver leaves.
MAINTENANCE AND GROWING:
-The ideal temperature for cultivation is between 14-18 degrees. It is resistant to low temperatures and can withstand up to 10 degrees, and in summer it likes up to 24 degrees if the air is humid. It is important to know that it does not tolerate strong sunlight, so it is best to keep it in the shade during the summer. When we talk about watering, only lukewarm water is used, in summer it is watered more abundantly, every 4-5 days to keep the soil moderately moist. In winter, it is watered only once a week when the soil is completely dry. Agloanema should be sprayed with lukewarm water twice a week in the summer, tolerates dry air in the winter in apartments, but likes misting.
Agloanema is planted in water-permeable, nutritious soil (peat substrate is suitable for it). The leaves should be wiped occasionally with lukewarm water, but never with a means to shine the leaves! It is best to wipe off the dust with a soft wet cloth.
In May, Aglaonema is transplanted into a mixture of soil with peat with a little addition of sand and perlite in wide pots, you must never press the soil, it does not tolerate compaction. After 2-3 years, Agloanema becomes weaker, so it is recommended that old plants be uprooted into smaller parts and thus propagated.
PROPAGATION:
-Reproduction takes place by dividing the adults plants in spring. Separated bushes are planted with peat and sand to root. It is most easily propagated by cuttings with 3-4 leaves that are separated from the tops of the stems in the summer at a temperature of 20-22 degrees. The cuttings take root in three weeks, and the young plants are planted in a substrate with plenty of peat.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW THAT AGLOANEME HERBAL JUICE IS VERY HARMFUL, EVEN POISONOUS SO IT IS BEST TO KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.
