Laying a grass carpet
Lawn represents the basis of arrangement, because it represents the largest green area. Its beauty is reflected in its neatness maintenance, color, but also the area it occupies on the green surface. There are two ways establishment of lawns and these are sowing with a certain mixture of grasses and placing grass sod.
Travni busen is a well-groomed lawn that is cut and transplanted onto the jelly surface. Before laying the grass carpet, it is necessary to prepare the surface on which it will be laid.
Preparation is based on:
- Sterilizing the soil, i.e. removing weeds
- Rough tillage of the soil, usually by machine (milling of the soil)
- Fine leveling, which means leveling the land
After the preparation of the soil, the laying of the grass carpet can be started, so that the rolls are placed next to each other. When the installation of the grass sod is finished, it is followed by rolling with a roller so that the sod comes into contact with the substrate. Lawn feeding and abundant watering are done after rolling. Special attention must be paid to watering the lawn for the first ten days after planting. The grass carpet is ready to use.
The care of this grass refers to regular:
- Daily watering
- Mowing once a week
- Feeding four times a year
- Verticulating the lawn once a year
