Roof gardens are becoming more and more popular in urban areas both because of aesthetics because they increase the attractiveness and value of the object itself, and because of many other factors such as energy efficiency, air quality, rainwater storage, and as one of the most important factors today, which is a positive influence on mental user's health.<\/p>

There are two types of roof gardens and they are intensive and extensive\u00a0green bloods<\/strong>.<\/p>

The circumstance that decides on the formation of one of these two types of gardens is the carrying capacity of the building. Based on the static calculation, we decide whether it will be on the roof\u00a0be an intensive or extensive green garden.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Extensive\u00a0green roof<\/strong>\u00a0characterized by low vegetation such as sedums (plants very resistant to extreme environmental conditions and requiring minimal maintenance). Considering the resistance and self-sustaining nature of these plants, a watering system is not necessary. It is necessary to remove weeds and feed the plant twice a year.<\/p>

In contrast to the extensive green roof, the intensive one contains high vegetation, thus a larger amount of substrate, garden furniture, but also a watering system, which is necessary. This kind of sight\u00a0roof garden<\/strong>\u00a0it is intended for active use.<\/p>

The most important starting point for formation\u00a0roof garden<\/strong>\u00a0is the correct installation of waterproofing, which, in addition to its basic purpose, prevents the penetration of plant roots. A geotextile is placed on this layer as a barrier that will protect the waterproofing from possible damage. A drainage-accumulation film is placed on the geotextile, the role of which is reflected in the accumulation of water due to watering and atmospheric precipitation. Drainage accumulation foils are filled with light material - expanded clay. A geotextile filter layer is placed over this layer. Its role is to keep fine particles from the substrate, so you are sure that the drainage system will perform its function well. After placing these layers, a layer of specialized substrate follows, which must have certain properties characteristic for this purpose, which is to be very nutritious and light. Plants that are planted on\u00a0green roofs<\/strong>\u00a0they must be very resistant, most often they are autochthonous species that are adapted to the given climatic conditions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
